Customer Support Associate - SaaS

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused, and growth-oriented Customer Support Associate to join our team in Coimbatore. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, learning software quickly, and building a long-term career in SaaS.

You will start in Customer Support / Customer Operations, working closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, guide users, and ensure a high-quality support experience. This is not just a support desk role. It is a strong entry point into broader career paths across customer operations and, based on your performance and interests, can open opportunities into areas such as customer onboarding, customer success, QA, implementation support, product operations, reporting, process improvement, or technical workflow management.

We are also looking for candidates who are open to working with modern AI and automation tools that improve support speed, accuracy, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide high-quality customer support for a SaaS platform through phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems
  • Handle US phone support confidently and professionally as a mandatory part of the role
  • Understand customer issues, troubleshoot independently, and drive cases toward resolution
  • Learn the product, workflows, common issues, and internal processes quickly
  • Document customer interactions clearly and accurately in support systems
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Product, Engineering, QA, Onboarding, and Customer Success to escalate and resolve issues when needed
  • Follow support processes, SLAs, escalation guidelines, and quality standards
  • Contribute to support documentation, FAQs, internal notes, and knowledge base improvements
  • Identify recurring issues, operational gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Use AI-enabled tools and automation platforms to improve response quality, speed, and efficiency where appropriate
  • Be responsive and available to support customers and internal teams during night shifts, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis

What We Are Looking For :

  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Confidence in handling customer calls with US-based customers
  • Good problem-solving ability and willingness to troubleshoot issues independently
  • Comfort with learning software workflows, systems, and new tools quickly
  • Strong ownership, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic while handling customer concerns
  • Good attention to detail in case handling, notes, and follow-up
  • Willingness to work onsite in Coimbatore
  • Willingness to work night shifts aligned to US business hours

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience in customer support, customer service, technical support, BPO, SaaS support, or voice support is preferred
  • Freshers with strong communication skills, learning ability, and the right attitude may also be considered
  • Freshdesk certification is preferred
  • Candidates who are not certified should be willing to complete the certification through a company-sponsored program
  • Familiarity with support tools such as Freshdesk, CRMs, ticketing systems, knowledge base tools, and chat tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies that improve customer support efficiency is a plus

AI and Modern Tools Exposure :

As part of this role, team members may get exposure to leading support and productivity tools, including:

  • ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI assistants
  • Freshdesk / Freshdesk AI
  • Knowledge base and documentation tools
  • Workflow and automation platforms
  • Reporting and support productivity tools
